Windows Seven Games Help!

I recently installed Windows Seven Home Premium on my Alienware M17x. I am having problems playing games on my laptop ever since I installed the new Operating System. I went to Microsoft.com and tried to look for solutions, I even tried to post a question similar to this there, no one answered though. The problem I am having is that every time I tried to play my games, like World in Conflict, my computer crashes. I do not see the BSOD Screen, the “Blue Screen of Death.” it only shows me the frozen game and the sound that keeps repeating. I have to hold down the power button in order to reboot the computer. All my drivers are up to date and I recently just reinstalled DirectX, but I am still having this problem. I search through the Windows Seven Forums and I found that over-heating could be the cause, but the problem about that is my Alienware M17x has three fans, one for the CPU and two for the GPUs. So, please help me how to fix this problem!

My Laptop has:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 2.0GHz
Dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M
4 GB of 1333 MHz RAM

Should work without issues.. If you are using NVidia 191.xx WHQL drivers, try 190.xx WHQL drivers..

Yep, Try some previous nVidia drivers. Some people in these forums have even gone back to 186.81 (WHQL) and had problems resolved.
(I would suggest that if you do decide to try some previous drivers then completely remove your current drivers then clean install the drivers you want to try. )

Use the March distribute of DirectX 9.0C instead of August. Also use the RC drivers from Nvidia instead of the 191.07. This driver have major problems. If problems persists, it's a good idea to dual boot with Vista.
