How to fix Assassin's Creed 4: AC4BFSP.exe Crash?!

Hi! I just recently bought this game, though everytime I load a save file (have yet to start due to the crashes) it crashes as soon as it gets to the part with Edward in the blue/crystalized sort of void. After that it just crashes and says: "AC4BFSP.exe Has Stopped Working"

I've been looking far and wide and have yet to find a solution.

    Spec:
    System: Windows 7 Home Premium
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 2430M CPU @2.40GHz (4CPUs), ~2.4GHz
    Memory: 6144MB RAM
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics Family 4000MB

I can run everything find (Lag free) up until that part.

    So far I've tried:
    Reinstalling (offline mode)
-Deleting the saves and making a new one
-Changing the graphics option from the .ini file
-Running it in Windows XP Mode (Had a bit of luck with it, worked for a while though after I accidentally pressed ALt+f4 and reopened it it broke again.)

I haven't tried updating my driver since my internet is stupendously slow so I'd rather avoid downloading.

    Help please!

Hi Your Graphics Card is not really up to scratch for that game ..

If you really want to try running it .. You should at least have the latest Driver ..

I managed to get it running by running it on Windows 95 Compatibility mode. Finally got it to work.
Also, yeah I kinda noticed although it's all I can get right now. The game runs fine so far on the lowest settings.

    Thanks anyways.

    Solved for me

I had the same problem, and browsed Google for solutions from various sites. I tried reinstalling, validating game files, and lots of other ways too but none of them worked. The game crashed every time when I tried to launch it.

The answer for me was to install the game (and Uplay) to the my main drive C. It was installed to my other drive (D) earlier. This fixed the problem completely.

Just wanted to post this if people still have issues with it.

    Happy New Year 2018! :)
