Try running it with vsync on. You don't need more than 60fps on your monitor anyway. It may help the temps.
    What does vsync do?
    Keeps the Frames from tearing

Im playing far cry 3 with everything maxed out and im getting avg 93FPs!

however my temps are reaching 83 c

    is this normal ?
It's completely normal, the 7970 isn't designed to max out games like Far Cry 3. Lower the settings unless you want to drastically reduce the life of the card.
83c is pretty high for a HD7970 playing far cry maxed out most i got was 71c at best with my 7970's when i had them Case Airflow is your friend

Harrie, send me the card, I will test it and get it right. Besides... you are playing the wrong game, you want this one
