    Random "freezes" while playing videogames

Hi everyone from sevenforums, first off, thank you all for your support, now moving on to the problem:

Ok so whenever i'm playing a videogame, the screen just turns black, the computer is still running but if there was any sounds playing they'll sound weird, (something like bzzzzzzz), It's like it freezes because i have to restart it everytime this happens

My brother opened the cpu then he cleaned it, the cpu was on a not well cooled place, so we moved it to my room which is colder. Still the same thing happens, If you guys need any error logs, i'll look for them

    Thanks

Check the temperatures first. There are several free programs that can monitor motherboard temperatures. I like Speccy, but there are others. You don't seem to have a particularly high-end system, so you are likely working it pretty hard with video gaming.

Also, make sure your drivers are updated. I've had similar issues when graphics drivers crash.

Bienvenido al foro de Sevenforums mi Pana...

+1 on what everybody else has said before, going to Nvidia and downloading their latest drivers might yield better results. Also, I assume you have Realtek as your Sound Manager, go to their website and download their latest drivers for your OS.

Depending on the games you are wanting to play, your PC may not be able to handle them so you are left to play simple games. Perhaps its time to update your rig?

2 Things i play in my computer: 1) Minecraft 2( World of warcraft

So i'm kind of sure that they're not resource intensive, cause i played them a long time ago and none of this was happening, Anyway here is the results of speccy (Nice program by the way!)

    CPU
    AMD Athlon II X2 240 23 °C
    Regor 45nm Technology
    RAM
    4,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 535MHz (8-8-8-20)
    Motherboard
    BIOSTAR Group N68S3B (CPU 1) 27 °C
    Graphics
    LM760 (1280x1024@75Hz)
    1023MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 430 (EVGA) 56 °C
    Storage
    465GB Western Digital WDC WD50 00AAKX-003CA SCSI Disk Device (SATA) 27 °C
    Optical Drives
TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-222AB SCSI CdRom Device
    Audio
    Dispositivo de High Definition Audio

I hope the temperatures are ok

EDIT1: Actually, the temperature of the graphics card got colder (48 °C)
EDIT2: I'll download the latest drivers and see what happens

Well, i thought it was solved, but apparently it wasn't .-.
Check the BSOD BSOD (Not being displayed) while playing World of Warcraft
EDIT1: I downloaded the latest drivers on NVidia, and i clean the case very frequently

This is going to sound incredibly stupid. But, this happened to me. I had freeze issues with any game I had installed on my secondary drive because the power connector wasn't seated all the way in to the drive. So while you're there, unplug everything you feel confident in unplugging, and then plug it all back in.

I like using both Speccy and HWMonitor by the guys that made CPU-z

I had a similar thing happen with Bioshock Infinite. After a few minutes of play, the screen would go black, and the audio would continue, or loop. Only a hard reset would cure the problem.

It turned out to be my GPU fan only running at 20%, and the GPU was overheating. I set the GPU fan manually to 60% and no more problem.

I don't know if Nvidia cards do this but the Radeon card I was using had the fan set to auto and it wasn't scaling (increasing) with temperature. Seems to be a problem with those cards. I would check your fan speed while you're gaming, as well as your GPU temp to see if the fan is running fast enough. You may have to set the fan manually.
