Directx 11 what do you think?

My card is using it now and after upgrading to 7 all my games are off the hook. Battlefield series I can play on highest settings with card and ingame setttings.

    same with Crysis.

I could not play these games in Vista on these settings without video lag which affected my ingame performance.

I know the issues with some of the older games like starcraft (which I love and found a work around for)

But I love the dx 11 with my Physx engine on crysis and some other games.

7 really came through on gaming. It's always difficult going through a transition and I feel for the vista users, but I am glad for my experience with vista because I learned so much about the OS core and how it handles memory calls to games.

I'm glad Microsoft hired some intellengent people finally that got this OS right and the directx 11 to me is incredible.

I used only 15% to 20% of my memory during normal operations in 7. When gaming 7 gives priority to the process that is being utilized at the moment which has never been done before in windows unless you used a third party program like cacheman or some other.

I would recommend 7 to anyone that is a gamer. There are work arounds if you still play those old games from the early 90's

also DOSBOX still works. They didn't make 7 so you can't box and emulate old ... very old games.

In conclusion I am very pleased with the Directx 11. My games are off the hook now on the highest settings.

Please reply if you agree or have had problems.

    Please add your system specs

Even thow you have directX 11 your graphic card dose not support DX11 there for you will still use DX10 even thow DX11 is installed, Vista is just a **** OS MS really stuffed that one up, on a side note Crysis dose not support Phyx engine.
7 is a really good OS imo I have had no problems so far with any games or programs I have used so far.

Your card isn't DX11, so you're not using DX11. You'd have to have a DX11 card such as a 5700 or 5800 series ATI card. Then your games would need to be DX11 on top of it.

I just checked the drivers .ini and i can make it force dx11 on 7....

I'll have to give my work to OMEGA MAN... he has said he wont support 7 but he will come around.

I told you I did some .ini changes.

just found out after my benchmarks that you can force all nvidia cards from 9x series if they are 1gb cards to use the physx.... and dx 11...

I will send my work to OMEGA ...

he still says he wont support 7 but he will come around or I will start my own site and give my drivers out.

my card is 2048 .... if I buy another one then with my 3Gb ram I won't even have to share with my 3Gb physical.

I found a way to bypass that too.

found a good tweak that will make a new driver off the 191.07 just use your RAM...

and not even touch your pagefile so your your harddrive doesn't have to read/write at all to pagefile.

    Still working on it.

I have 6 years into this. And will send my data to OMEGA I really don't want to start a new site and become the windows 7 driver guy.

but I know my ****. And I'm making progress now with 7.

with the new 7 RAM configuration you can get a driver to own in real-time if you have an application open.

I'm working to make the 191.07 nvidia driver do that when you open a game it becomes the real time process and all others go even below normal.

I know I can tweak it to do that.

you can't do this kind of thing with ATI cards and drivers.

I'm working on things guys. Don't you love 7?

    lol....

ByteBull, please edit your posts instead of multiple posting. I realise you are trying to increase your post count, but this is not the way to do it here.

While DX10 cards have some hardware that it is used by DX11, it's still not a fully DX11 card.

DX11 is the version that is in 7. Everybody's directx version shows DX11.

And Nvidia cards don't have to be forced to use physx -

When dealing with a dedicated video card with its own dedicated memory, one has nothing to do with the other. Might want to read up ob video memory virtualization in Vista and Windows 7.

in crysis it shows im' using dx 11
No you're not. First as others have already said you HAVE to have a DX11 card, and the game HAS to be coded in DX11. You can do all the "tweaks" and "hacks" you like, but you are still not going to get Crysis to run in DX11.

    but I know my ****.
Hate to say it but based on most of your comments so far, no you don't.
