might be an issue with DirectX, Minecraft is OpenGL so it might explain why that works, try installing the latest DX9 from here: Download DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) from Official Microsoft Download Center

He should have Gforce experience optimize the game and go from there i am sure it is a setting screw up
He also has DSR option now that could be the issue Dynamic Super Resolution
Thanks for the replies, I've installed DX9 and optimized all of my games in GeForce Experience, however there are some settings I'll be changing back, such as it lowering San Andreas's resolution, and taking my source games out of -windowed -noborder mode.
My bet is Windows' windows management is the culprit. There's nothing you can do, the web is fed up with this stupid issue but they won't do anything about it. Unless some Windows dark ninja shares some dark registry secret that actually solves the problem.
I found this, try it, maybe it'll work for you:
How to: Fix the windows 7 minimize bug - YouTube
I already had the 30d40 (hex) or 200000 (dec) value set, so for me it's useless.
Hmm, no one mentioned a clean startup. With such a problem it would be my first step.
Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup
If it stops the minimizing, then enable them a couple at a time until you find the culprit.
Hi Guys
I have been having this same issue and it sucked. This is what worked for me.
It seems that it is noramlly related to an anti virus. Im running bitdefender and all i did is either switched off my anti-virus or added an exception. Thats it... Problem was solved
I'm having the same problem. This might help: https://www.reddit.com/r/windowsinsi..._out_randomly/
