Hello, STLO, and welcome to Windows Seven Forums!

    This site:

    Flight Simulator FSX Keeps Flying

recommends running FSX in XP Compatibility Mode. I would suggest to you to try to install it in either Vista or XP Compatibility Mode and or run the program in Compatibility Mode.

    Compatibility Mode

I also noticed an update for SFX and Vista. You may want to install the update as well.

    Happy Flying!

You do not need to run FSx in XP Compatibility mode. It runs perfectly under Windows 7.

Have you tried installing as administrator?

I am also playing on Windows 7 without a problem.

Activate by telephone if you are getting errors.

I had to activate by telephone because I had used up my last activation on a defective computer that I returned. I was on the phone for 6 minutes then up and running again, not bad at all.

It is easy to do it by telephone. It is useful if the phone as a loudspeaker on it.
