Cannot play any game after upgrade

    Hello guys,

    Sorry for my bad english,

I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits, at home desktop, upgraded all my drivers (including bios, monitor drivers...)...

Then I bought, Dragon Age in Steam, and started playing, after 5 minutes the game became the most laggy thing in the world. Ok, I thought it was something with dragon age. Installed GTA IV, installed the patch, same thing, after about 5 -10 minutes the game starts to lag.

After searching a lot of foruns in the net, i realized that everybody seems to have problems with gaming in w7, or the game crashes, or graphics problems.

I tried compatibility mode - same
Tried tweaking nvidia options - same
Tried tweaking games options - same
Installed more three games to test, all have the same problem.

    My specs:

    Core2Quad 9450
    6mb Ram
    GeForce GTX 250

    Thank you all...

That would be your card. Avoid playing above 1440x900. Use driver sweeper if you update your drivers.

7 is not XP and the card will choke in Direct X10. Its a rebadged (old) 9800 GTX+.
