Ok well I'm currently re-installing w7 on a partition. I'll test out the games I'm having troubles with and if that doesn't fix it, I'll do as Darryl suggested and just wait it out.
Once I've finished testing +rep to all of you. Thanks :)
You are welcome. I hope it works out for you. Windows 7 is a great OS, and I am sure you will be happy with it, once these issues get sorted out.
I just installed Win7 64bit and Medal of Honor: Airbourne rocks, had some issues with Timeshift but a patch from the game manufacturer resolved this...so far in my experience, Win7 rocks on gaming, in fact it was so good I had to try it on my Sony 46XBR3 downstairs TV...I hauled the box downstairs, tweak the resolution running on HDMI, wow, games are great at 1920x1080....may have to leave the box in the living room although my NEC 22 wide screen is good at native resolution 1680x1050 in my office....so far so good with Win7
Please let us know how it works out!
And BTW... which version # bits Win7 are you trying to install... i might have missed that!
Latest Nvidia Drivers 32 bit: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_wi...1.07_whql.html
Latest Nvidia Drivers 64 bit: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_wi...1.07_whql.html
Apparently they are same file...is this the version you are trying 191.07???
Hi all! Great news. I partitioned my drive, installed a clean copy of vista, and then 64bit w7 ( it was an upgrade CD ). Installed Fraps and ran Operation Flashpoint off of my other partition, a solid 45 FPS. OK it's not 70 like it used to be, but it's playable. And that's what matters, right?
Looks like you guys were right, a clean install is always best. I'll bare this in mind in the future.
+rep to everyone who posted here helping me. You can lock/do whatever you do to finished threads.
Thanks a bunch!
Is that 45 fps with the updated win7 driver and a reboot?
If yes, sounds like you still have some other driver issue, you should be equal to or faster than you were in Hasta La Vista!
Have you double checked your mobo manufacturer website for win7 chipset drivers, etc? Also double check your video settings in BIOS, especially if you reset to factory defaults...
Please keep us updated!

Did you still do an upgrade to Windows 7 from the new Vista install? You can perform a clean install with the upgrade media. As long as the setup detects a previous version of Windows it will allow you to perform a clean install. Even without having another OS installed it is possible to do a clean install with a simple work around.
Yep I did a clean install.
I'm also getting a boosted frame rate in crysis with alternate-frame rendering 2 ( nvidia ) for alla you who have it also!
50+ fps yay!
