Can't run Hitman Absolution on the MAX Settings....

Before i proceed,i would like to mention my System Specs:

    Intel i7 Processor
    Nvidia Gtx 960 2GB Graphics
    16 GB RAM
    GIGABYTE H97-D3H Motherboard

I have played pretty graphics intensive games such as Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeros (which came in 2014).I played it , by turning EVERYTHING TO MAX i.e SHADOWS , Anti-aliasing,Textures,etc. ...
It ran like BUTTER..I checked with FRAPS.

I also tried to play Call of Duty Advanced Warfare with MAX settings..I remember turning down only 2 options "OFF" (Some shader options, i forgot) ...It also ran like butter , although i am unsure , if it was 60 fps or not via FRAPS..It varied. But overall,it ran smooth. No hick ups ...This game also came in 2014.

I have also tried playing , Assassin's Creed Unity with Shadows special Setting (TSS or something) switched "ON" , with TXXA Anti Aliasing which is like the next level Anti-aliasing after MSAA. It was having hick ups initially , but after a Gforce Experience update for Drivers & doing some Game Ready Driver updates, it started working like butter with TXAA "ON" & the rest of the settings on MAX..This game also came in 2014

Now,i decided to play Hitman Absolution and i maxed everything out.I noticed that , i am getting less FPS when i use 8x MSAA ..This game came in 2012.So.why can't i run it on the MAX...

Is their a patch that i need to install.I usually end up corrupting the game whenever install a patch however. Or should i just install this Game Ready Driver Update (Release Date 08/31/2015 Version 355.82) from my Gforce Experience ? That might do that trick...

It may be the game and nothing wrong with your PC. Try lowering the MSAA.

You are right. Loweing the MSAA does give an FPS Boost to the game play. However,i noticed something with the FPS.

Even at 8x MSAA , the FPS doesn't stay constant in one particular angle. For instance,i could be standing in a shade with 42 FPS and when i turn around towards the sunlight , FPS goes to 45 ..Other time while walking through small areas FPS drops or sometimes it RISES.The same happens, when i am walking in a wide area as well.So it is not even & is constantly changing..

I actually have settled down on 8x MSAA because i tried lowering the MSAA from 8x to 4x to 2x. It.It sometimes gives a big boost , sometimes may be not. So,it does't make much difference.difference. Perhaps it's hard to notice in 3rd person games / RPG type of games compared to a First Person Shooter , where you can just move the mouse and decide the performance.

The game is not running terrible (like when i am unable to play & getting lags). It's just not 100% but 90% , so i have settled down.May be you are rite , that it has nothing to do with my system but the actual game optimization.

Funny thing is , many games which are told to have really bad optimization are running A1 in my system like AC UNITY or Mortal Combat X.So,i guess it is like a hit and miss when it comes to the performance , no matter how great your graphics card is.

It depends on the game really and you should factor in many things. Some game types, for example RTS and MMO games (lots of CPU calculations instead of complex graphics) are more likely CPU bound and won't matter much if you have a strong GPU or not. Then the drivers can affect performance. And AA is usually among the most taxing graphical features. You should experiment with graphical settings to find the optimum.

You can still try a clean startup and see if you can gain a few more FPS - Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

Thank you for this link.I personally,do everything manually. That is , i first try to remove everything from my Desktop (Like Gadgets, icons etc). Then i change my Windows background to Windows Classic. Then i turn ON my Anti Virus "Gaming Mode" ON.Then i go to Properties of "My Computer" and i go to "Advanced System Setting" > Performance > Settings > Performance Options > I select , ADJUST FOR BEST PERFORMANCE (Which disables all the dynamic Windows animation options and etc.)

Then i play games...And it certainly helps,i suppose...

Hmmm i think it is the latest one.I actually just purchased this on 5th February of this year.It is i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60 GHz 3.60 GHz , Intel CHIPSET H97.

My GIGABYTE H97-D3H Ultra Durable Motherboard (LGA 1150) supports 4th Generation & 5th Generation Intel Core Processors.

I hope , the above information is enough or you may ask me anything else.I will tell you ....

See,i knew something was wrong. No,i have not posted this issue there.I will now, however.I tried to run Hitman Absolution with a software called , Game Booster (By Razor).

I was surprised to see the results.NO FPS INCREASE.I tested this by running the IN GAME Bench Mark & the Average FPS came THE SAME.

So,all in all i am getting an average of 39 FPS as per the IN GAME BENCHMARK settings.
