I managed to solve this by doing a clean boot so I like to share it. Simply follow the rules here: How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 It got my game working. I hope this will helps some people who have searched endlessly on Google for the BEX problem..

I have been getting the BEX error when I try to access my bank site. It only began this week....for years now, I had no problem, they do not seem to think they have a problem. But as soon as I access the site and enter the name this error pops up IE has stopped working. Have gotten it occasionally on other sites but not all the time...only the bank site. Any suggestions?

Hey guys, just wanted to weigh in on this.
The issue hit my computer not long ago. I never use new software, codecs and such, without testing first.
I started getting a lag in all online videos, youtube and stuff, then games started crashing with this bug. The thing is, both are related. It has to do with the video,drivers. So with that in mind, install the latest directX pack, and ALL LEGACY packs, ie.. 9X, and Adobe shockwave, Adobe flash player.
I only use DivX, and VLC, for video, if they cant play a video, then its not worth it. Other video codecs are simply un needed, and usually buggy, and don't work as well.

I feel, the direct X codec is the key to this issue, and I stand by it. My issue was resolved when I installed older versions of it. Apparently, the new versions, don't have all the same fix\game support, so, always install the provided direct x files with every game, except bootleg copy's, they may be damaged or tampered with.

Re-installing windows, and doing an exception are innovative fixes, but are not addressing the cause. In this case, Id say, if this does not work for you, consider, your video\audio drivers, or even your chip set drivers, may be out dated.

Worst case, your RAM may be damaged from age\heat, though, that would also cause random, or 'when warmed up' BlueScreen.

Thanks to cryptix. Just found this thread, old it may be, but the BEX problem just reared it's ugly head today and this fixed it!

Easy, right click your computer icon go to properties and advanced system settings and then under the advanced tab go to system properties. Once there on the advanced tab under performance, click settings then go to the data execution prevention tab and add the game or program to the exception list. Had no problems after this.

check the time and the date of the computer you may find it 28-5-2099 or the year is 9999 -what ever it is, they aren't correct, so that change them to the real ones, That's all.
