Windows 7: Crysis

Windows 7 Ultimate x86-64

Possibly, but a crack may do it. Search for a version that's up to the patch level - so 1.21 and if its x86 or x64. I had Crysis crash on me around 4 times before I got virtually to the end. Its a big fat complex game. Apart from that, I'd say a new GPU driver update might fix it. Try creating a shortcut to the 64-bit and 32-bit .exe's and trying that.

Windows 7 Professional
I think I figured it out...

irbeel, or anyone else out there wanting to know how to eliminate this error.

I suspect that you had Windows Vista installed prior to Windows 7?

I also suspect that you saved your saved game files in some way, by copying the directory before blowing away your Vista install, or by upgrading to Windows 7?

Long story short, I uninstalled Crysis (for the 3rd or 4th time after following many suggestions on this and other forums (disable OC, re-install application, re-install drivers, run in compatibility mode, etc. etc. etc.)

Finally I decided to remove my saved games during the uninstall... I re-installed and viola! Crysis works again! Now... to get all of my OC settings back.....

Dredging up an old post.

Few weeks ago my old video card had a hardware failure, my new video card seems to be working fine, maybe my problem was the first signs of my hardware failing? The only difference in my video cards is that XFX sent me back a low voltage card instead of the 6pin powered card(Even though they clock the same and I havn't noticed any performance changes.)

Thanks to all that helped me but the problem is gone now.
