    W7 64bit and Original FarCry??

I downloaded FarCry 1.4 and it seemed to install ok, but will not start up under 64bit W7?

Any thoughts? Is Punkbuster a problem?

But why then does PB work in W7 with COD2, COD WAW?
I still think it has to do with ordering the download directly from Ubisoft -- I would bet there is a copy-protection scheme that doesn't paly nice with W7.

    Thanks for the response.

Install the x64 patch if you don't have it, and run as an admin. It's installed on my W7.
    Crap game, though.

check Run this program in compatibility mode

It runs alright on my x64 machine. But I didn't install Punkbuster.

There is a 64 bit patch for it, make sure that is installed.

I have both Far Cry's and both run beautifully. No patches, no freezes, nothing... and I'm running W7 x64...

    Awesome games, both of them.
