Comparing graphic cards having the same cpu [laptop]

Hello guys! Which is a better laptop for gaming?
They have same CPU (Intel i5-6200U) but only differ in RAM and GPU.

The first one is: nVidia GeForce 920M MX 2GB with 8GB DDR4 RAM
The second one is: nVidia GeForce 940M MX 2GB with 4GB DDR4 RAM

Please help me decide which is better? I already compared the two GPUs and 940M is better but I can't decide because of its RAM, my mind's telling me that I should pick the 8GB RAM because the RAM can pull up the performance of 920M and the other half's telling me that I should pick 940M because it's way better than 920M and can work around with 4GB. Btw, the first one have 15" screen and the second one has 14".

Please notice my post I'll appreciate any feedback

I live in the Philippines and every 1$ = PHP49.72

    If I remember correctly,
    The nVidia GeForce 920M MX 2GB with 8GB DDR4 RAM and has 15" screen is PHP33, 995;
    The nVidia GeForce 940M MX 2GB with 4GB DDR4 RAM and has 14" screen is PHP32, 445.

I forgot to ask if the RAM can be upgraded. I'll ask it tomorrow.

Thank you very much for your reply

Laptop ram is rarely upgradable and costs a lot that on desktops. That's my laptop experience. I'd get the 8GB laptop.

    Hi,
Well yep 8gb is better than 4gb's then :)
You might want to also compare the Mhz/ speed of the memory too
If there are complete system spec's for each one post links or copy and paste them in english of course.

    Whoever told you this ?

Laptops are rarely shipped with the maximum amount of memory and more can always be added, especially today.

First off, laptops are not meant for gaming, but I would get the one with the 15" screen, you`ll never notice the difference between the 920 and the 940.

Either that or look for one with the same specs as the 940 with 8 GB ram and a 17" screen.

That was my personal experience with my laptop AMILO Li 3710 a couple of years back - upgrading was costly and hard to come by, so that's the impression I got. And besides, I view laptops like smartphones - you buy them and use the hardware as it is, you don't upgrade it, maybe get it replaced if it breaks, but I would personally never go as far as to upgrade hardware on a laptop.

Hi guys! Thanks for waiting, I've been busy these past few days.

    I asked the clerk and he said that it costs 1, 500 of 4GB DDR4 RAM. (1$ = PHP49.72)
So it costs 3, 000PHP to have 2x4GB DDR4 RAM.
