What Games Are You Playing?

I think that particular video is staged a bit just with some of the things he says, and after playing it myself.

There's plenty of videos on Youtube of people's reactions of playing Dead Space and FEAR as well.

Like I said before, no video does this game justice on being scary. I've played FEAR, not Dead Space (should have got it when it was on sale last week), and Amnesia and FEAR are too different types of horror really. Amnesia just gets extremely uncomfortable in parts. I recommend getting it if you have a spare $20 to blow on a game, or wait until it's on sale.

    Really

And I feel the same about those as well.

LOL I never was the "watch a scary movie and scream out loud or hide under the blanket" type of person. This makes me a boring person amongst those that do

Anyway I wasn't criticizing you for posting the video, just commenting on the dramatics of the clip itself.

    It's all good :)

Lol, yea I've not screamed or anything while playing this game. I just jump out of my seat and nearly hit the ceiling.

There's a version a British guy does, and at the same part as the video posted he runs out of that area and stands in a safe area and just cries, lol. Over the top again, but funny.

Don't get me wrong, I've had my jumpy moments in games - the first time I played FEAR and Alma popped out the clear in scared the heck out of me cause it was so unexpected.

Another time I was playing FEAR and came around a corner and got blasted with a shotgun.... the sound of the gun made me jump so bad I actually thought I got shot. LOL.

So yeah I've had moments that made my pulse race, but nothing extreme like in the video

Anyway I'm going to have to find this and give it a try.

    Thanks

This one i was playing Dead Space 1, and i had to deal with 3 or 4 black necros. Just a few plasma shots, and careful use of stasis. After killing them all with melee attacks i sobbed for about 20 whole minutes. so it can happen, sure some videos may seem staged but thats not always the case. it could be a genuine reaction, like what i had.

COD black ops is a good game, if you like FPS's. Some people might find long, others short. I rushed thru the game and finished it in like 7 or 8 hours.

Well, here my take on it.

Amnesia really doesn't have alot of stuff that just jumps out and startles you for scares, like in Dead Space. (Although I do really like DS, just a bit different type of horror )

But, if you do as it suggests .. and do not play the game to win,
but just immerse yourself in the games environment, it will slowly get to you.

It will have you looking over your shoulder, and actually thinking ...
"I don't really want to go in there .."

And subtle stuff you may or may not notice that adds to it.
For example. You see a painting on the wall.
Come back by later, and its changed.

Sometimes you may catch a glimpse of something, and are actually unsure if you actually seen something real or not.

Add to that the fact you are totally helpless, and the envorinment and audio and its a pretty creepy ride.
The Audio in this game really does add alot to the overall feel of the game.

LOL, sounds odd I know, but I can not explain it. I do agree, videos just do not do the game justice in the least.

Spend an hour with it in a dark room alone .. Youll see.
