    Also playing Bulletstorm :)

Im having little problem with the Shadows in the game which started in the Act II. Running on Max with 4x AA and V-Sync on and even i turn off the V-Sync Off and AA it's not fixing the Boxed Shadow problem :S any idea's? Using latest Catalyst Drivers and everything.
are you running in crossfire mode with the latest CAP..?
No i have just 1 single card and i found that only AMD 6xxx series are having this boxed reflection problem in lightshafts (God Rays or God beams) so i disabled them throught Bulletstorm INI Editior

Steam has the Summer sale going on from now until the 10th.
All dev catalogs on sale, and daily deals each day.

Might be worth checking out :)

The Deluxe Edition of Oblivion for example is only $8 ATM, Witcher 2 $33 etc

And BTW, I was curious about a couple games.
Im trying to add some variety to games library and was looking into GTA4 and Mafia 2.

Oddly, I have not really played either and know little about them, other than reviews Ive seen.
Well, I remember playing Vice City way back in the Playstation days ... but no GTA since.

At any count, my question may sound silly, but I normally do not play these type of games so ..
Which would really be the better game? They seem to look pretty similar to me. Or rather, whats the biggest difference?

From what Ive read, and since I love story driven type of games & RPGs, it seems Mafia 2 may be the better choice for me.
But I wanted some opionions of those here who have played them. Thanks.
Mafia 2 is more story driven but is a more linear. The stories in GTA haven't been much to talk about, but the story in GTA4 is actually pretty good. With a lot of "RPG" elements in customizations and the ability to pursue friendships and go out actively on activities with your friends/girlfriends. Once you reach a certain level of friendship your friends give you special abilities which is cool.

The storyline in GTA4 also branches out in choices, if you decide to do this or that may change an event later in the game.

Overall GTA4 is a much solid game.

EDIT - Current I'm playing Morrowind. I was playing Oblivion some but I got tired of it, I liked the diversity and more depth of Morrowind so I jumped into that instead with a few mods. Using the BTB Morrowind mod, hardcore factions, and some sound mods atm.

I have just started playing Fallout 3. This game so far is just rubbish, no action no nothing. Hopefully it will improve or else it will be deleted.
The long boring intros seem to be the norm with FayCry2 etc.
Give me action like COD games please.
You should try out Amnesia or Fear 1, those are some serious "manly" games to play not the typical FPShooter like COD..
Yeah, I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised by Amnesia: The Dark Descent(sorry if we aren't talking about the same game). but it was one of the scariest games I've played in a while... simply because it's a different approach to confrontations with monsters, YOU HAVE TO HIDE! and its REALLY unsettling when you hear one walk by...

Thanks for the advice on GTA4 vs Mafia 2.

I went ahead and picked up GTA4, but will likely grab Mafia 2 as well before Steams summer sale ends :)

And Yes, Amnesia was a excellent, although disturbing, game. :)
I would certainly highly recommend it to anyone that wants to play a horror game.

Fallout 3 is not, nor was it ever an action game, and it's certainly not a COD type game. It's more of an RPG adventure game where you roam the land and take on adventures. If this isn't your style of play then Fallout 3 isn't going to be for you. Yes the game provides periods of action but it's mostly explore, do a few tasks, and survive the land.

Perhaps a COD style game would be more to your liking.

    Good luck.
I have all the COD games, can you give a similar to COD?

have to admit that i've been getting pretty bored with gaming over the last coupla months, but the good news is that i've started playing company of heroes again, due to steam sale. :)

it truly is a great classic game - used to play it back in the day, but couldn't face reinstalling it from disc due to all the huge patches required. so much easier to just let steam download it all overnight.

talked a friend into buying it too for some multiplayer mayhem. really surprised they haven't released coh 2 yet - maybe they're working on it? thq/relic seem to have concentrated on warhammer/dow instead. maybe the console kiddoes can't handle coh?

What I want to know is: how big is Assassin's Creed 2 exactly? I've gotten to Venice now, and I still feel like I'm not even half way through xD
