Maybe Im lucky but I haven't had too many issues with The Witcher so far, or Im not far enough in for them to show up.
I have 30hrs playtime so far, and only CTD 1 time during that time.
However, it does often give the 'The Witcher has stopped working" error when I close the game out.

Good game, looking forward to 2.

I would suggest looking into Fallout 3 and the new one, Fallout New Vegas which comes out next week. (Oct. 19, 2010)

TBH, The only thing I can say bad about Fallout3 was the ending is not not so great.

However, its not the type of game you want to rush to the end of so its sort of a null point in the grand scheme of things, at least to me.

The beauty of the game is how open it is, and all the different choices you can make, wether you want to be a Saint, totaly Evil, or remain neutral.
Also, how you wish to develop your character will play a huge role in how you must do things.
You can spend countless hours just exploring.

Its truly a amazing game IMHO, and will eat up many, many hours of your time.

And there numerous excellent mods available as well.

    @Sygnus

Yea, this is why I felt if you really enjoyed origins, you'd like Awakening as well. :)

The only ones I know that did not like it were the players that simply did not get into Origins at all.

Dragon Age is a bit different, I agree, but it ceratinly worth the effort and purchase. Its just a Great Game

I am now patiently waiting for my New Vegas Collectors Edition

To me the ending is the appropriate way to end the game. After all it is about the story of the vault 101 character.

    My opinion.

I want to play the newest Civilization but the RAM requirement is killing me. Even with my 2 GB RAM it won't load smoothly. 4 mins to start the game is simply unacceptable.

Guess I'll just play lesser games...

I would urge you to create a seperate thread on your issue and post your system specs. We might be able to help speed things up for you.

That game has problem with gamepad. Had to use xbox360 controller emulation to get it working. =\

Not to mention, from what I read, there are bugs with locked doors and such. Save often so you can revert back to your earlier and bug free state.

Overall a good game but needs a fix or two ASAP.

I played on the PC and I didn't encounter a single bug, superb game.

There are no bugs with locked doors. Furthermore, I'm playing through a keyboard, so it's cool, it jut took some time adjusting to throw objects with aiming...
The game did crash on me once, right after a save, but that's all... And despite it's requirements, the game works flawlessly on my PC.
