Any idea how many were actually made?

Certainly worth the $21 price tag Amazon was asking IMHO.

    At least 134427

And yeah, not bad for 21 bucks.

BTW do you find that you have to load your last saved game because "Continue" loads older saves. That's an issue i'm currently having now.

    Yes and was quite annoying.

If like me, when you create a manual full save in a new slot it works fine. But you need to manually reload that save when you start the game.

Auto Save and Quick Save also work fine in game, and will reload w/out issue.
However, if you exit the game you will find likely 2 original save (1 Auto 1 Quick) that are always the same form near the beginning of the game.
If you delete them, make new ones, they get overwritten with the old ones again.

Selecting Continue at the main menu loads one of those old saves.

It seems there was a bug w/the Steam Cloud which apparently has been fixed.

    The fix:
Go to your Steam Directory and the Open the Userdata folder.
Will be a bunch of folders with numbers as a name

Browser through those untill you find the one for fallout NV.
(it will have a FO ini, Quicksave and Auto Save)

    Delete those 3 files.
When you restart FONV, you'll have to reset your graphics settings again, but the auto/quick save will be fixed.

I have since disabled Steam Cloud for NV for the time being.

Thanks. At least I know I'm not crazy.

I'll look into the fix. Also, never even realized I was using Steam's Cloud. Will have to look into that as well.

    Thanks.

Edit: I just deleted those files, restarted NV and things were good, I didn't even have to reset my video settings.

BTW how did you disable steam cloud?

    Thanks

Some were having not only the save issue but a settings issue as well reverting.
I was one of those which is why I suggested deleting all, to be safe.

In STEAM, right click FONV --> Properties --> Update Tab.
    Cloud option at the bottom.

If you wish to disable it for all CLOUD enabled games,
Steam (at top of STEAM client) --> Settings --> Downloads+Cloud TAB.

I just disabled it for NV on mine, because no cloud issues with my other games that use it.

    EDIT:
Looks like theyve already released a Patch:
    http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php...-game-updates/

I had exited STEAM and restarted it, and its patching now.

I hope this doesn't count as being against the rules, but I did notice a patch on a torrent site that supposedly fixes the lag/FPS issues with Fallout: New Vegas. It was made up by someone on the Bethesda forums apparently, but I don't have a link as I didn't see a link to that forum on the torrent site, and I don't want to link directly TO a torrent site. It has to do with a modded d3d9.dll file though.

For some reason, Bethseda felt the need to comment about this.

Quoted from the Official Bethseda Forums:
We've seen a number of people post links to DirectX DLL files that can be found in any normal install of DirectX.

Please be aware that downloading files from unknown sources is dangerous and potentially harmful to your computer.

To be clear, we have not tested any of these files, so install them at your own risk.

Perhaps Im missing something, but how would modding the DirectX Files themselves help anything?

Yeah I just now noticed steam did some updates to Fallout NV.

That's got to be one of the fastest game patch releases yet. Game comes out Tuesday, Patch comes out Wednesday

It could be a mod to the file that's causing problems and something Microsoft hasn't caught yet.

Don't be surprised to see video card updates for the game as well.
