nice one sygnus - i've got my eyes on one of those too!
i was thinking of turning mine into a 6970...
it's got a backup bios, so it should be safe....
Yeah I posted about that here - Which ATI 6950?
I couldn't wait so I got it already. Not bad though a little slow right now, same way dead space one's pace was at the beginning. Game Play is pretty much the same as DS1, including those save stations! Graphics wise the game pretty much looks the same - it is a DX9 game. Maybe they'll look better after I get my 6950 sometime next week.
The game runs very smooth on my setup with no stuttering or anything. Unfortunatly though I got a crash to desktop (CTD) in chapter two so I get to play my progress over from the last save station, yippiee
Anyway I'm happy with the game thus far.... at least it's keeping my attention, unlike Fallout New Vegas!
Started playing Pirates of the Burning Sea. It's an MMO and recently gone free-to-play, so thought I'd try it. It seems pretty fun. Ground combat isn't too bad with nice, smooth animations. And sea combat seems fun. Bit slow at the start obviously being lower level, but I imagine once I've managed to level up and get better ships and weapons etc it will be a blast (pun intended).
I have reinstalled Dragon Age Origins to play the last DLC - Witch Hunt. I started the game from scratch just for it, too bad the actual DLC lasted for 2 hours. It was great though, I'm really glad I got the whole Morrigan thing sorted out, losing her pissed me off more than any game ever should
So do you consider Bioshock 2 a flop? It sounds new to me..
Having played Bioshock and right after that Bioshock 2 (which I'm still playing in these days) I must admit that I was expecting some more improvement between the first Bioshock and the second one, but I find BS2 very fun to play anyway: it's more "tactical" than the first one (especially when you have to protect the little sister from the splicers while she gets the Adam) and I also find it more challenging than the first BS
It doesn't make me strive to get it finished (like the first BS did) but when I'm playing it I just feel difficult to stop.
I actually own this game, although the sub has been expired for some time.
Do they have a lot of limititations on the F2P version of it? I might go back and give it a try again.
Sometimes they limit the free versions to the point you really need to buy a sub to get anything out of the game, and sometimes its not that much of a game breaker, so I was curious.
As far as Bioshock goes, I must agree. I enjoyed BS2. But it just wasn't nothing like the 1st. The 1st one was just a much better game.
But Im the same way about Fallout. NV was fun, and I enjoyed it to an extent. But as far as replayability, I find myself still playing FO3 over NV.
