Sorry if I sound a bit thick...is it the"Steam Edition" you recommend, or is that just an extended title.

    Hey anjou2,

    You are fine.

I don't know much about the Steam Edition of Flight Simulator X as I have a boxed edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator X when Microsoft still produced it.

Steam Edition of Flight Simulator X is the latest version.

    Here's what I would do.
Go on eBay and sort through all of the posted Flight Simulator X listings and find one for $10.00 or $20.00 and they are available if you are willing to search.

I'm a cheap bastard and willing to search.

Make sure they come with Disc 1 and Disc 2 and a product key code.

I have never had any activation problems with any product key codes for FSX if you wait several months before you reinstall or install onto another computer.

If you should run into an activation problem just activate via the telephone electronic menu and Microsoft will activate it.

If asked how many computers this has been installed on the correct answer is ONE.

I promise you that the software police will not come and arrest you or I would already be in the software penitentiary.

    Hey anjou2

    You may be in trouble.
Mine have always come with 2 Discs as it is like a 15 GB program.
Look on the box it came in.

Thanks PG, contacted seller and have full refund. Seller didn't want disk back, is it any good on its own /
Have bought FS2004, it's on its way, reading the stuff on it, it would seem to suit me better, "not a game,... for learning to fly" (it says!!)
