    Hi group.

Does anybody know where i can get a free workable Battlefield 2 game from the internet for free??
I've been trying to download it from the internet for 2 days but have had no luck...none of the games i downloaded worked, they either ask for a Code or they are in a different format....

Go here- Download Battlefield 2 - free - latest version

Download the file. It is a .nda file which is a Nero Backup file although there is no extension shown.

Right click on the file and select Rename.

Rename it to anything you want with the extension of .zip

Open the .zip file in a good .zip app such as J-Zip, 7 Zip, etc.

You will see a BFL.......exe file. Use the app Extraction feature to extract the file to a folder
    of your choice.

Run it to install the game.

    Does that work?

I can't believe they were allowed to do that. And it really pisses me of because there was a website that hosted BF2 and BF2142 along with their third party client to enable you to join games again and EA sent them a letter saying they had to take it down. Not due to the client, but the hosting of illegal downloads. Yeah, the game is old a F and you can't even play it anymore without a third party client, but EA don't care.

Here I thought I'd be able to play BF2142 again. NOPE! And I don't see any third party client or servers for BF2142.I absolutely ruled in that game. Sometimes I did damn near all the freaking work if I had a shit team.

I'm just glad I bought the whole damn thing with all expansion packs on eBay from a guy in Norway before Game Spy shut down.

OP. Once you get BF2 installed, install the AIX mod. It's comprised of the core mod and core maps. It makes BF2 WAAAAY better, trust me. You may also want to look into the Forgotten Hope mod.

If you're into free games and have a computer that will run it, check out Warzone. You install Battle.net to get it. It's Call Of Duty battle royal except it's free. Had I known I would have never bought COD Modern Warfare. LOL I bought Warfare because I played the original sometime circa 2008. The others (what? three - - HUNDRED incarnations now?) I never much played. The first Black Ops, yes.

If you play a modern game like COD, be prepared for the oodles of updates upon updates to the tune of some 24 GB per update.

I remember when I first installed GTA V via disk. Holy crap! There's some 8 disks! Took about four hours, then when I thought I could play the game, nope! I had to install a massive update.

I don't know a thing about these games. Just trying to help out. Wonder if he's tried it yet.

For your case, doesn't this do it- Battlefield 2142 - Reclamation presuming one can get the game?
