    Steam versions that still work

Tracking steam versions that still work on 7, lock down steam.cfg because you might not get back. I am going to test this in vm and report here which versions still work. With a grain of salt because i might not update and just lock into this version. Feel free to report your findings.

As of now the latest version is 1718904662

That should be the last version i am pretty sure and future versions won't install through updates. We will only know when the next release comes. But it could mean that the thread becomes redundant.

Who knows company say things all the time and ppl manage to produce outcome that don't line up.

Latest version in this moment still technically works. It just takes long time to launch. I remember we can prevent it by disabling some of option in interface setting.

Hardware Acceleration can slow down loading of the client on systems that cannot do hardware acceleration properly. Past that i am not aware of the client loading slowly on Windows 7.

I checked version 1730853000 client that built on Nov 8th is launchable on 7. I observed error that talking about OS version once during update process, but it somewhat launched.

Edit: I done those update for other two windows 7 systems and they didn't show error. It was might steam.cfg caused error or latest beta version will REALLY drop compatibility for seven.
