    It's not the problem with the password, it's clearly Win7s problem. I can login normally and play without any issues when I boot to XP. Something in Win7 is stopping GoW from reaching internet and I don't know what exactly [firewall is off, upnp is on, network discovery is on].
    GFWL works here, its your problem

    Um, yeah. You are doing something wrong with your head, so be a good boy doing us all a favor and READ this post from start to end.
    Gears of War + Windows 7 + Windows LIVE = FAIL

    Seriously, you did not READ nor did you UNDERSTAND what I said right in the start.
    I have:
    - got the lastest LIVE software,
    - ports forwarded on router,
    - Gears of War [PC] running on XP machine with no problems, even without updating GfW LIVE software,
    - firewall off,

    Any real advice instead of ignorant statements by cloud8521?
    I am aware that there is nothing wrong with LIVE network at the moment and the problem is based in my Win7, that's why I ask for advice in SevenForums in the first place, right?:)

    Thanks in advance for any helpful advice, cheers.

    Uhh, im sorry Mastah Jay, but he has a point. He said that GFWL works for him. This is relevant, not a "Ignorant comment by cloud8521". But hey, peace ppl, and lets try to fix your problem. It seems that you are the only one that doesnt get it working. So have you tried to re-install? Also, try to log in to the GFWL web site, see if that works. Have you activated the account? try that if you havent

    The fact that GfW L works for majority of people is well known, so it's not new and not relevant. Furthermore, I am not the only one with this problem, hector17 seems to be having the same problem, like many other people around the globe [google it].

    I've tried numerous reinstalls, I can login to GfW L application/site with no problems at all, same goes for Xbox Live on the site [xbox.com] and console.

    Ok, sorry, my bad. You said that it works perfectly in XP. Is that on the same computer here or another? If its on a diffirent one, make sure you arent already logged in to the service. Also make sure no other program is already logged in to the program.

    It works perfectly ok on XP on the same computer, just different partition. I have XP on one partition and fairly fresh [4-5 months] install of Win7 on another, which now is my main OS. I've literally searched everywhere for a solution and did not find a thing that helped me even remotely.

    I decided to take a peek in Event Viewer and that's what I found:

    Code:
    Title wargame-g4wlive.exe (1.0.3340.131) XLive 3.1.0099.0 (WGX_XLIVE_V3.01_RTM.091106-1035) C:\Windows\system32\xlive.dll
    0x80151907

    XLive Logon Failed

    00:B0:21:55:CF:05
    192.168.1.13
    0x0
    LogonHR == 0x80151907
    Games for Windows - LIVE DLL
    Also at the same time:

    Code:
    Title wargame-g4wlive.exe (1.0.3340.131) XLive 3.1.0099.0 (WGX_XLIVE_V3.01_RTM.091106-1035) C:\Windows\system32\xlive.dll
    0x80151907

    Live Logon Failed

    00:B0:21:55:CF:05
    192.168.1.13
    0x0
    LogonHR == 0x80150002
    Games for Windows - LIVE DLL
    Any clues?

    uninstall GFWL, but not the game. then run the game, and open the multiplayer. It will ask you to install GFWL, and follow its instructions. Then check if it works ;D
