how many network cards do you have?
When I uninstall GfWL I cannot even run the game because it says xlive.dll is missing. After installing XLive from the game disc it's the same situation as always.
I already investigated that and came up with nothing, I have the same software as on XP. I even tried uninstalling majority of the software, even AntiVirus [thus compromising my computer] but still nothing positive happened.
Two. One integrated [nForce] and a Realtek one. I already tried plugging the cable into the the other one [I have it in Realtek normally] and nothing changed.
Btw, the MAC that event viewer gets is non-existent, there is no card with MAC 00:B0:21:55:CF:05 in my system :O
I'll try getting the Realtek card out of the mainboard manually and will report back.
I have the same problem with Tinker as was posted in Image1. I using Windows 7 Pro x64.
I found a solution to it. When you sign into live in the game you need to uncheck the "save email address" check boxes. I also deleted my IE cache too which may have helped as well.
Now I can sign in and play the game fine.
I am having the exact same problem with Windows 7 64-bit. Your solution QuackPot didnt do anything for me. When Im in Gears of War, my Windows Live ID doesnt sign in, but on the Windows Live site, it works perfectly fine.
[QUOTE=Mastah Jay;432313] it's clearly Win7s problem
i can tell you that is definately not windows 7s problem - i am running gears on windows 7 & have never had any issues with it
