Steam is having a holiday special, so for those looking to get some games at a resonable price (through steam) have a look here http://www.steamgamesales.com/. Be warned though, steam is getting hammered right now, so the link I give may not work right now. However If you have steam installed click on the store tab and have a look.

And speaking of hammered, I just bought Farcry 2: Fortunes Edition and can't get the download right now because the server is busy

    So...

Here's a partial list of the games on sale:

    mirrors edge 4.99$
    operation flashpoint dragon rising 19.99$
    defense grid 2.49$
    stalker: shadows of chernobyl 1.99$

sale runs from today through january 3rd

    Atari games 66% off

    the witcher enhanced edition 13.59$
    ghostbusters 6.79$
    riddick dark athena 6.79$
    indigo prophecy 3.39$
    arma 6.79$

    Ubisoft games 50% off

    thq games 50% off

The entire unreal pack which has every unreal game ever made (except ut2003) for 13.59$

Enjoy, and good luck getting through :)

Well If you're looking at Mirror's Edge for $4.99, that deal expired this morning (EDT), so it's now back at 19.99

I picked up a few games too and am keeping an eye out on the daily specials.

    Eidos Collector Pack $49.95
    Orange Box $14.99
    Borderlands $33.49
    Ghostbusters $6.79
    Torchlight $9.99
    L4D2 ~$33

The Eidos pack is a great deal, Batman is really well done. Orange Box wasn't a bad deal though I should have got it in the past when they had it on a weekend deal for $9.99. Torchlight is good if you don't mind the lack of multiplayer, and it's on for a really good deal, though it was on for about half that one day for a daily special. Ghostbusters doesn't really work for me, I'm calling it unplayable, but looks like fun and a nice price (if it worked). I haven't had a chance to play Borderlands yet but I've only heard good things, and I got it to play co-op with a friend. L4D2 is more fun then I expected, I was almost just going to stick with L4D(which is on for only $7.49 if you don't have it yet, for a few more hours), but I also got this to play co-op with a friend.

Throughout the whole sale, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has not gone on sale, and has remained within the top 7 or 8 for sales the entire time.

Shattered Horizon is on for a great deal... It wasn't showing though for me earlier, it said it was $14.99 and 25% off, when in fact it was 75% off at $4.99, with a 4 pack clan pack for $14.99 (or $3.75 per copy).

Not bad at all, nice to see Steam doing their bit for gamers during the festive season, I bought Dragon Age a bout a week ago, wish I had waited :B Ohh just checked, still full price. WOW Medieval II Total War only £2.49 what a bleedin' bargain.

I think Dragon Age was on the daily special list yesterday :P I could be mistaken though.

Oh, it was on Day 4, http://store.steampowered.com/news/ if it is the same as Dragon Age Origin
