That's a "great" price for the game. I just got the retail version for $19 bucks.

I'm playing it now and have to say I'm obsessed. Had I known it was this good I would have got it when it was first released. Looking forward to ME2. :)

    FYI

With regards to Mass Effect, Steam, and Vista/Windows 7

    This note from Steam...
    * WINDOWS VISTA OR WINDOWS 7 USERS: Launching “Mass Effect” from Steam requires the setting “Run as Administrator”. If the User Account Control feature of Windows Vista is enabled, launching “Mass Effect” from Steam will result in failure. For users with User Account Control enabled, launch Steam using the “Run as Administrator” option or launch from the windows shortcut.
For what it's worth I didn't have to do this with the retail version. All I did was install the game, run the launcher and play. No issues with the retail version and Windows 7 at all. In fact I play like 3-4 hours at a time and have not had one issue. Settings set to high/ultra.

    Just FYI

    Agreed.

Without a doubt one of the best SP games to date.

I thought it was kind of disappointing to have all repeats, I was half expecting a grand finale for the holiday sale... Oh well, got some great deals on great games.
