    Gaming Performs Better For Sony

Gaming performs better for Sony as it ekes out a profit.

Gaming was one of the bright spots for Sony, as sales increased by over 10 percent, but its quarterly loss dropped by more than half, to $379 million. As the PlayStation3 gets deeper into its release cycle, making it has gotten cheaper, and Sony's per-unit cost is looking better at a time when it's seeing a rapid rise in PS3 sales (up over a million to 2.43 million). Unfortunately, that rise is coming partly at the expense of PS2 sales, which may be profitable for the company at this point; they dropped by about 800,000 units, and are now on the verge of dropping below PS3 numbers, at 2.5 million.

I love the look of this console as well as it having blu ray.
I am a 360 fanboy but will buy a ps3 when i get into the market for a blu ray.
The six axis controller's movement functions are also very intriguing but,
the games make the console and this is where ps3 lacks. killzone 2 looks amazing though.

I had a 360, then ps3, great little machines, I liked the ps3 due to the bluray, the final seal on it was of course, the FREE online gaming, as opposed to 360's cost.

I saw no difference in online quality.

However, if MS ever added blu-ray and made gold live free, I would grab a 360 again no problem, regardless of the fact I went through 3 consoles due to RROD, I would still pick one up, MS has great customer service and stands behind its product.
