Not that this is going to help you but when I had spinpoint installed with my logitech keyboard I could just press the print screen button.

Does the keyboard's PrtScn button work?

    **edit**

This has always worked for me; 98, XP, Vista and 7 no matter what I had or didn't have installed.

your limited to one screenshot with the printscrn as you need to minimize and paste your clipboard contents into a program such as paint then save

I need multiple screenshots which for anything up until windows 7 there where two or three little apps that would give you ingame screenshots but there doesn't seem to be anything i can find available yet for seven

It's been my experience that that's simply not true. I can take as many screenshots as I'd like using the PrtScn key; 1 or 100, it does not matter. I install no software to do this... never have... I don't even install my keyboard drivers.

Yes, you can alt tab and paste them into paint, but you can also deal with them after the game. In the game's directory (where exactly differs with each game) you'll find a Screenshot folder, aptly named: Screenshots. It's created when you hit PrtScn.

This has held true for 7 as well as all previous MS operating systems. First thing I did after installing 7 was to install my favorite game, then fired it up and snapped several screens. This function still works just as it has for the last decade.

Honestly, I don't know why one would bother installing a program to do this when it's a function of both the OS and the game. Sure, FRAPS is great for making movies, but if your only concern is screenshots, then why would you hamper your game by running an app that's superfluous?

Because I for example want all my screenshots gathered in one place. It does work taking screenshot with the games own tool but with Gadwin or Snagit they come out black. Why?

I can see some games not having a screenshot function, which I agree would suck... none have come my way yet, luckily, but since the PrtScr key works and captures images outside of gaming, then wouldn't it have at least a little something to do with the OS?
