    starcraft issues

Hey i just purchased a new computer friday, broke my labtop while drunk on new years.
I tried to put starcraft on but just fails.
I put in the disk, and an autorun pops up, i hit 'setup.exe' and nothing happens.
i went to "run" and did setup.exe. same issue.

I went to my computer, tried to run it through there.. nothing.
Eventually the window will freeze, and then everything just crashes.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Please fill in your specs. Also, try running as admin by right clicking and selecting run as admin. If that doesnt work, right click, select properties, and select compatibility, and set it at windows XP SP3

    Hi briantheman890,

If all else fails and you're using Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate, try running Starcraft in XP Mode.

    Cheers,

To be honest, I wish i could sound smart. But basically took the disk out, put in the broodwar cd. The real autorun popped up. Closed everything on my computer, put in the regular cd. hit the autorun.exe, I could hear the disk drive working. I waited about 2 mintues and I heard the sound, then it popped up.

You would figure, a 13 year old game.. with all this fast, higher grade technology it would have worked no problem.
Thanks for help tho guys.. much appreciated
