Thanks for doing that. So here's the issue I'm seeing: you are trying to run the game on a mobile processor with integrated graphics. Neither of these things meet the minimum requirements to play the game. Here's a statement about that from the LucasArts FAQ on KotOR II: LucasArts.com | Support

Did you have the game previously installed on this system, but upgraded to Windows 7 and it stopped working? Or did this computer come preinstalled with Windows 7?

    Cheers,

I bought this computer in November and it came pre-installed with 7. KotOR 2 is an older game so i was thinking it would work. Any ideas on how to get it to work?

Thanks for being patient and helpfull while ive been frustrated!

Sure, I'm happy to try and help out!

You're right, it is an older game. But its large 3D open-world environments require lots of graphics processing power and memory in order to run smoothly. Integrated graphics chipsets like yours are not designed for gaming; it doesn't have dedicated graphics memory, so it needs to draw on system memory for 3D acceleration. This puts a huge strain on your CPU, and can cause all sorts of problems.

The only other thing I can think of is maybe try stopping any unnecessary or resource-intensive processes in the Task Manager before starting the game. Other than that, I think you're out of luck There's always the chance that someone else in these forums will have a solution, though...

Look on the bright side - you have a perfectly good set of game discs! Go install the game on a friend's computer, order a pizza, and just power through it in an all-nighter :)

Thanks for the kind words! I hope you're able to find the Xbox version for a decent price, I've seen it can get pretty expensive on Amazon, etc. (although I might be thinking of KotOR I)...

Also, keep in mind you'll have to jump through a few hoops to be able to play an original Xbox game on Xbox 360: Xbox.com | How To - How To Get Original Xbox Game Support for Xbox 360

When that's all done, here's the official Xbox KotOR II page: Xbox.com | Star Wars® Knights of the Old Republic® II: The Sith Lords? - Game Detail Page
