    wow v-lag and crashing

since my install of windows 7 i cannot play wow for long without something going wrong.
at any point during the game i may crash to restart or bsod (which is the first for this machine)
if that wasnt bad enough i also get massive frame kills in cities like stormwind
im dropping down to 15 fps, which is unacceptable for a 9800 gx2. and at that time my server lag is 100ms, so thats pretty good

ive been searching around but i couldnt find a cause or fix to my problems

    As always first things:
    1. Update your drivers.
    2. Update DirectX: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...a-9b6652cd92a3

    3. Turn off Aero.
    Right click Application.
Go to compatibility. Turn off Desktop composition.

    4. Run Windows Update and post what updates it comes up with. (optionals aswell)

EDIT: Look at this too: http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread....sid=1&pageNo=1

1 my video drivers i had to roll down to the previous versions because the latest make all my games crash
    2. dx is up to date
3 ill try this one (altho i had the windows theme set to classic, i thought that alreaddy disabled aero)
4 widows update shows only optionals which are all language packs

    edit
    1. as for step one i assume you meant the video drivers.
as far as any other drivers go, with windows 7 i cant tell if the devices on my machine are running on my drivers or the ones windows downloads automatically. this is expecially annoying because windows doesent use the best drivers and it is difficult to replace them sometimes.

i am also trying the updated sound drivers as mentioned in the link you posted.

Last time I played it was on Vista.
    So I am not sure.

Maybe some who still plays will post.
Maybe you should try wow official forums?
Someone should have had the same problem.

Get the newest drivers then disconnect from the internet, uninstall from control panel or device manager, use driver sweeper, reboot, back in safe mode try the new drivers. Then connect to the internet - drivers should be optional.
