    2 games in same time

Can anyone help me with this problem:

So i want let's say to play 2 games ( have two games open ) in same time but for some reason it wont let me.

    For example :

cs 1.6 and lineage2 = it wont let me
cs 1.6 and Chess Titans = it wont let me
cs 1.6 and trying to see a movie = it wont let me ( audio works but no video )

About the last one, the movie one if i change the video renderer then it works but it's not the same video quality.
And about the 2 games opened in same time i don't have any clue so i ask your opinion.

    PC Specs : AMD PII x4 940 BE / Asus M3A79-T Deluxe / 8 GB DDR2 800 Mhz / Palit Radeon HD 4870 512 MB DDR5 256-bit / LG 22" 2ms 1680x1050

Does it come up with a error message? if both items are fullscreen, it cant run them. If you mean you want to have one minimized, and one open, thats totally possible. And if you want them to share the screen, go to the settings of cs 1.6 and disable fullscreen mode. Then it should work. Your system should defenetly be able to do this.

youve mentioned cs in all these examples, what are you trying to do with cs that you still want to play a different game.

i run lineage2 then minimize it and open cs and it worked , but when i minimize cs and try to maximize the already opened lineage2 it gives me a error.

Let's say i play on a public server cs 1.6 and i die, sometimes i want to alt+tab and play a little chess or make some trades in lineage2;on win xp i could do that on win 7 i can't , and i don't know way.

And yes i want this " If you mean you want to have one minimized, and one open, thats totally possible. " but i gives me a error when i try to switch them.

oooo by the way ...lineage2 it's in window mode.

don't know for sure but i think it's something about opengl cose when i run lineage2 i can see a movie or play chess too, but when i have cs 1.6 opened i can't ; and if with cs 1.6 it's like this then for sure is with other games too. ( with other games that have the same thing in common )

Oky i found out that when i run cs 1.6 in opengl then the problems start showing up,but if i run cs 1.6 in software mode then it's no problem;but cs 1.6 works great with opengl not in software mode so any ideeas?

Of course you can't - games need resources and they hate minimizing and then maximizing. Windows can't shuffle this. Your GPU is for one game.

maybe win 7 can't , but win xp can and thats the problem :) ; when i had win xp i could do all that , now that i switched to win 7 i can't and i'm not sure if it's a compatibility thing ,maybe some other problem or it's simply win 7 . Cose u know when u switch from a older OS to a newer OS u expect to get more good things from that new OS not less :)
So it's all about windows , if win xp could do all that then win 7 must do it too but better so something it's wrong here cose i don't think microsoft wanted this and about my GPU to work only with one game at a time u are totaly wrong.
I think it's all about OpenGL or something like this and now on win 7 this openGL doesn't know to play with multiple games.

Windows seven has a neat thing called Aero. Disable this, (rightclick on desktop -> personalize -> pick a high contrast theme) and you may possibly be able to play both games.
