I wouldn't rush out and get the card just yet, there is no proof.
Besides if you install XP in a virtual environment you'll probably find that it works no problem at all (it's virtual hardware for the most part).
Have a look in your windows event log and see if you can see other posts at the same time and with the same PID, this may give you an idea as to what is causing your issue.

I have looked in my event log, but honestly, I have no idea what i'm looking at. or for. There are several logs for any given time of the day and I don't want to go through all of them if I don't know what i'm looking for. Thanks anyway, though.

Look in the application log, and filter by error on the right side of the screen. Clear the filter when you are done. Have you sent the error reports? It will most likely tell you to get the latest patch.

Thanks Frostmourne, I am currently in the process of moving to Singapore and whipping around Australia to visit family and friends before I leave. So there could be delays in my replies for the next few months.
