No, for any new games, you need a new build.

Sure, it will work at minimum settings.

Pings are based upon latency caused by hop counts, throughput and distance. The further you are away from a server and the more routers that the packets must go through the higher your ping. So your specs have nothing to do with ping times.

During game play, if your latency is below 100, you have an excellent connection to the game server. As far as the visual quality of the game, that is always a personal decision. One does not buy a new video card if they are happy with their present gaming experience. Enjoy your computer and I give you the "attaboy" pat on the back for doing your homework and asking questions about your system.

It takes less than 100ms ping to consider it an "excellent" connection. With some games it's sometimes a split second reaction between being killed and doing the killing. If you have a 50ms ping your shots will usually register quicker than someone with a 100ms ping. I know because I lived in Florida for 3 years and my pings were always 100-120ms on every COD4 server. I did my share of dominating opponents but the ones with equal skill and lower pings than I always managed to get that shot in against me first. I moved to Ohio, where my pings are 30-40ms on every server and it's sometimes hard for anyone to stop me unless I am being flanked or taken out by that oddball camper.

You didn't move to Ohio to get a better ping did you?

    haha

lmao hats funny :P (you didnt move to ohio to get a better ping rate)

    well thanks anyway
    it runs smooth
my ping sometimes goes a little bit high
its interesting how ping is that because i thought it was on the performance of your pc but it do make sense because on some servers i get 100 - 200 ping rate
    but on other servers i get 50 - 80 or 80 - 100 lol

No, I did it to get away from an evil ex-wife. The improved ping was just a bonus.
