spider solitaire XP on win7, no flushing sound

    hi,
im new here. i'd like to ask you a fix for the following problem i have with spider solitaire XP on win7:

i copied spider.exe and cards.dll, as i read from various sources on the net, from my copy of winxp x86, put them in a random folder on my win7 x64 and it runs ok.
however, when the game deals the cards and SHOULD do the machinegun-like sound for those familiar with the game, it just does a tick when the graphical effect of dealing is over. i've tried all compatibility modes, then tried putting other related dll's in the same folder and neither works.

anyone know how to fix this so that spider does the full sound like it should? thanks.

thank you. still, solitaire 7 is terrible IMHO.

i know a couple of people have managed to make it work, with the particular repeating sound, so im hoping someone will get the time and effort to enlighten me and maybe help me understand what i do wrong.

i think i know why this occurs.
one time i alt-tabbed from a full screen D3d app that is resource-demanding, and ran spider.exe for XP on win7. The result was the repeating "machinegun" sound effect was done perfectly.
I assume that spider.exe ran on limited processor attention, or in other words, the game was so slow, that i could hear one "flush" sound before another perfectly, or close anyway.
The reason for this is unknown, since winXP on the same exact PC system runs the game perfectly.

    anyway, hope that makes sense.
