    windows 7 problem

Hey guys, not sure if this is the right forum to be posting this but

I'm having a problem where if I have a few programs running in the background such as Msn/xfire etc, they go off into the far right where they aren't visible anymore. It usually happens after I open Counter-Strike. In order for me to access them I have to fish off to the right with my mouse and drag them back on screen.

Anyone know why this is happening

    thanks.

    Hi jnc,

A few questions: are you playing Counter-Strike: Source, or the original CS? When you exit out of the game, is the resolution lower than it was before starting the game? Is that when the programs move off the screen?

    Cheers,

I thought a game would always take up the whole screen with your apps underneath?

    There's no "problem" here.

When you run a game in full screen, all other apps get put the taskbar.

If you want to access xfire in game, then you have to bind a key for it in the options. I assume msn is the same way (don't use it).

    Hi again jnc,

This may not solve your problem, but hopefully it can be a temporary workaround: Quick Tip – Force Off-Screen Windows to Return to Your Desktop | TipsFor.us

They change position because you arent running the game in the same resolution as the desktop so therefore the proportions are different.
