Emulators on Win 7 64 Bit

Hi there. I might be getting a laptop soon, and I was wondering if I would be able to run the emulators for Nintendo 64 (specifically Project 64), Playstation 1 and Playstation 2 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

    Thanks in advance.

you should have no prob as long as you meet the min specs needed. Although that should not be a prob for anything less then a ps2 emulator...with that one YMMV

Okay, thanks. But, are you sure that I would be able to run Project 64 on Home Premium 64 bit -- without any Virtual OS programs or anything of the sort -- without any problem?

Just to let you know i run Project 64 (Just for Goldeneye ) and it runs perfect. Also run Mame32 without any issues at all.

Win 7 64Bit Ultimate here as well. No virtual OS needed or anything else special.

    Good luck

    Thanks, Taylorig.

I asked this question on two other forums, but nobody replied. I think it's safe to say Seven Forums are the best Windows 7 forums out there. :)

I couldn't run the PSX emulator on Vista - graphical glitches - but 7 might do it. What are your system specs?

Oh, I don't have the new Win 7 laptop yet. It's a Toshiba Satellite A500-1DN.

I'd reconsider. It comes with a stack of crapware, the HDD is 5400RPM, and the CPU could be better - 2.4GHz+.

Well, I won't really be using it for high-end games. It's for general use, but I'd also like to be able to run older (ie pre-2009) games on medium to high settings.

It's alright, apparently. But my 6-year-old cousin loves playing old games like Super Smash Bros with me on the computer, so that's the reason I wanted to know whether the 64 bit version of Home Premium could run Project 64.

As for the "crapware", I figure I could just delete every thing?

The CPU is a bottleneck and the HDD isn't 7200RPM - vital for 7.
