    Warcraft 3 Resolution

I'm running window 7 on my laptop and when i installed wc3, i noticed that the wc3 does not fit the screen, with 2 black bars beside it. Has anyone with this problem b4, is there anyway to permanently solved this problem...I also tried changing the resolution of wc3 in the option and it wouldn't help. It wasn't like this in vista, and the temporarily solution was to edit the registry resheight and reswidth.

So is this the only solution? Is this my laptop problem, or my driver problem...im having integrated graphic card HD 2400 XT

I think that is the only solution. I've never read any other method.

Alternatively you can run Warcraft III in a window where it will stretch to any width you make the window.

All you do for that is to add a -window command to the shortcut to Warcraft III in it's properties menu.

    Same problem here...

How can I edit registry to resheight and reswidth?

    Solution

I had this problem too and took me a long time to figured it out. What I did was I right click on the Intel icon on the bottom right of my desktop next to the time. And open it up you will see that Intel is what's preventing War 3 to run in full screen, just modify it to full screen and the problem should be fixed.

The reason this is happening is because your graphics card does not have the same setting as your warcraft software. Check first your screen resolution, for e.g we have 1360x768 for the screen resolution, run regedit.exe and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Blizzard Entertainment > Warcraft III > Video look for the properties of width and height. click them one by one and choose "decimal" to change the resolution number. you have to put here the exact settings you have on your screen resolution which is 1360x768 by my example.

I've played Wc3 for a long time, and honestly, if you can, play it with the black bars! If you stretch it, it looks rather bad and building placement gets all weird.
But that is probably just my feeling about it

As long as the resheight and reswidth value in your registry is the same with your desktop resolution it will look fine. :)
