    Battlefront 2 and "Not Support!"

So I upgraded to Windows 7 not too long ago and Battlefront 2 has always been one of my favorite games. Only problem is, I haven't been able to play it since upgrading to Win 7. The weird thing is, it installs fine, runs fine, but I just can't see it. I am using a Vizio 27" HDTV as my monitor, but I used that back when I had XP and the game ran fine then too. I've tried the compatibility mode and running as administrator several times, but to no avail. I've also made sure that all my drivers are up to date and I still can't get the TV to show the game.

Has anyone had this happen to them or have I discovered a new issue with TVs as monitors?

Any suggestions would be very appreciated, thanks in advance!

If the error did not occur before, then its NOT a hardware problem (unless it is an OS to hardware problem).

Your hardware can run it, since it has before.
Merka, you need more RAM to effectively use a x64 OS, try moving back to a x86 architecture.

Conman, it sounds like your settings are too high or something. In the compatibility tab, check run is 256 colors, and 800X600 res. Try to get it where you can see it, and fix the settings.

Also, can you hear it at all?

I can hear it actually. Is the 256 color option what XP ran or is more basic than what XP ran? I wouldn't be surprising if the video settings for Win 7 are too high.

Just tried the 256 color option, didn't work. The resolution didn't do anything either. Still can hear it in the background though.

Edit: Interesting thing, when I right-click to shut it down on the desktop, it says BattleFront booted up in Safe Mode. Would that be why it's not showing up? If so, how can I get it to stop booting up in safe mode?

Ok, so that sets it as a video problem, not a game problem.

    Try just the smaller res.

Tried that, TV didn't like it. It gave me the "Not Support!" message again and then reverted after about a minute back to 1280 x 768.

Maybe its the TV then. Perhaps it is launching in an unsupported format.

That's got to be related to something in Win 7 then, XP had no issue with the TV. Bummer...thanks anyway though Lordbob.
