AAAAAARGH, multiple games not starting on windows 7!

Guys, for the past three games i've downloaded no games seem to be working for me, I'm using a EVGA motherboard, i7 920 standard, gtx 285 and 12g of crucial ram.

COD modern warfare and fear 2 work just fine for me, but the last three games i got don't, borderlands, need for speed shift and battlefield 2 bad company, and they all give me the same reaction, three second pause followed by (filename).exe has stopped working : look for an solution online orclose he program, there are no blue screens no freezes nothing, the game never has a chance to start!

I was a lil suspicious of my norton suite so turned of the antivirus but no joy, like i said the other two games still work no problem, i'm looking online but there are specific solutions to blue screens, freezes and bugs, i never get started so i feel my problem may be simpler? any ideas on where to start? Here are the error codes to give you guys an idea.

I have since updated my nvidia drivers, my bios, audio drivers, and tried running the game as an administrator, i've even tried running them in different compatibility modes every time, borderlands worked once as soon as i installed it, played it for a full three hours no issues, then gone to the doomed error, the other have never loaded up
any help would be appreciated guys. Thanks

Even though you turned it off, because av's run silently and in the background no matter what you do, Norton may still be getting in your way; it's notoriously bloated software. Does it have a "game mode" feature that disables scans while gaming, or at least lets you set certain apps to not be scanned? If so, I would try that.

Since the rig is really nice, you should be having no problems at all. If the first suggestion doesn't work, I'd try uninstalling Norton. Perhaps there's a tool Norton has that will completely uninstall it?

I am going to assume this is a relatively new home build? Have you checked to see if it passes memtest and dual prime/orthos?

Stab in the dark, did you try right click > run as administrator?
