    alt-tab out of games

I just built a Win 7 system and installed BFBC2 and played last night. When I alt-tab out of the game it puts the game in a full sized window on top with no. Is there a way to set it to default to the system tray like in XP. I haven't fully explored this, but it is very sensitive to going back into full screen mode unintentionally. This is fairly annoying.

    Thanks,

Try playing it in Windowed mode with no borders.

You can press alt+enter to make it full screen again.

You shouldn't alt-tab out. Some games will die and crash the system.

So alt-enter puts it in windowed mode with only a small border at the top. Is this what you're referring to?

Yes, this will put it to the background like a regular app, hopefully allowing it to keep running and does not need the couple seconds to reload again.

Thanks this helps. Maybe I'll try to get used to playing this way. Or I can switch to it before I alt-tab to something else.

I realize alt-tab probably has improved functionality for people who use it, but I only use it in games so it is a downgrade for me Oh well I can deal with it now that I know about alt-enter, thanks.

By the way this game seems pretty robust in the alt-tab department, a lot of games aren't.

    Thanks again,
    LouieIV :)

I use it a lot playing EVE. I have 2 monitors, so eve runs on my main, and I browse these forums on the other. I use the Gamers Window Relocator to move the Window to fullscreen, while maintaining the window usage.

How do you undue this and restore your game to standard mode?
