Xbox 360 Controller Bug in Build 7068?

I have used my Xbox 360 wired controller with my PC for a while, on both XP and Vista prior to installing Windows 7 Betas. The first time I noticed this was with build 7068 x64, which is what I am currently using. If anybody else has a wired xbox 360, let me know if you can reproduce this.

If I have the controller plugged in, or plug in the controller while the computer is on and in windows, if I unplug it or detach the cable at the auto-release point, the computer locks and automatically reboots.

I have reproduced this a couple of times, using different USB ports on my computer and using other USB devices and haven't found that anything else reproduces the same event.

It seems it is affecting everybody with a 360 pad because I always get bsod upon pulling it out of the usb. I have also checked other forums and it seems there is a bug with windows 7 and 360 gamepad. I am sure ms are aware of it so hopefully in a future build the problem will be remedied. So just sit tight and in the mean time don't pull it out.

    lol

I went to the driver site on Microsoft and apparently they are unaware of the situation because it says MS is not aware of any issues regarding the use of 360 controller in windows 7 (or something to that effect). How would I (or anyone) be able to contact them to inform them of this. Obviously it is a bug if it is affecting everyone.

Has anybody noticed that the bug has disappeared in the rc? I have just pulled it out by accident and there was no bsod, yippee.

    Xbox 360 Controller on Windows 7 x64

I have bought the XBox 360 Wireless Controller (Black) with the Play and Charge Kit. I plugged it into my Windows 7 Ultimate Edition x64 and the drivers did load automatically. So now that has happened what is next? I see it in the Device Manager and Devices and Printers Control Panel. The Games for Windows game that I'm trying to use it with is not seeing it and the controller is just blinking at me instead of locking into controller 1.

    Did I miss something?

    Thanks,
    Ben
