    Starcraft Coloration Not Working

I've tried everything to try and get Starcraft to display in game correctly, but nothing has worked. Any ideas??? Just start throwing them out.

    Hi there,

Try this thread, and let me know if it works for you. If not, please explain what didn't work and at what stage it happened: StarCraft fix holy cow!

In addition to that you can try reporting the bug to Microsoft, since explorer.exe is the cause of it.

I tried that thread. Didn't work. Any other ideas? I might send an error report. God forbid. xD

Open Notepad, and copy this into it:

    taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
    E:\"Blizzard"\"Starcraft"\"Starcraft.exe"
    start explorer.exe

Change the directory to the location of your Starcraft folder, keeping the quotes where they are. After this, press Ctrl+S, and save as type: All Files(*.*). Name the file *.bat, where * is the filename. Save it and run the new file, and you should see the problem resolved.

That seems to have solved the color issue. I still have another problem though. The screen has lines flashing across the screen and a black patch up in the upper left corner. Here's a bad image of what it looks like.

The green shows the splotchy area and the green lines show the lines that flicker across my screen. Any ideas on how to fix that as well?

Moochmaker, that screen shot looks like there are artifacts by the dozen.

If your card is OCed, STOP. If it is not, it might be going bad. Does this occur on any other games?

Na. It doesn't happen in any of my other games that I know of. The video card is practically new. I got it near the end of last year. Shouldn't be that kind of issue.

Odd. It may just be going bad.
Do you have another card you can try? Do you have the latest drivers? Have you used previous drivers that cause no problem?
