    Cs source problem

    Hello
My Os is windows 7 and my problem with Cs source is that I have to put all the graphics and resolution to the lowest possible setting in-game to be able to play the game with medium performance
So I wonder if the problem is with compability between direct x 11 and direct x 9 that cs source is using.
or is it just that my computer isn't powerful enough?
    Processor:
Sempron: 2800+ 1,61 Ghz, overclocked to: 1,92 Ghz (according to my system info)
Memory: DDR SDRAM 2x 1gb kingston
Graphic card: Nvidia Geforce 9800 gt...

...btw a while ago I had a pentium 2 Ghz with Nvidia Geforce 6600GT which motherboard broke sadly but
with the same amount of memory the game worked perfectly with full graphics when my os was windows xp

edit: ow and btw I have the same problem with cs 1.6.
I need to put resolution to the lowest to be able to play that properly.
but I guess that could be because windows 7 has a poor opengl support.

This pc is too powerful for CSS even. You should be able to play on max. Try setting -dxlevel 80 in the advanced options. This will make the game run on dx8. The game wont use dx 11 anyway. It stops at 9.

edit: thanks you very much again
it all worked when I added "-dxlevel 80" to the advanced launch options on steam
now the game looks like to work very nice at full graphics

right click the games title on steam and go to properties, go to set launch options and put in -dxlevel 80.

Just remember to remove the command from launch options after you've played it the first time. Otherwise it will keep resetting your graphics because that command is in there :)
