I have an real strange problem - with nvidia drivers

    Hi

I have an real strange problem. I'm using Win 7 64 bit and a Gforce 295 card. I use the new nvidia drivers 197.13_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_english_whql

    Ok...

When I launch Fallout 3 and Just Cause 2 - the game wont launch. It just gives an error right away.

If I remove the 197.13 drivers, and restart windows (now windows start with default drivers) I can run the games, with no problems. If I now install 179,13 both games runs even better, than default drivers. If I restart windows, now with 197,13 drivers - both games fails again.

? I do nothing - just restart with working games.

So leave the default drivers. Is there any other problems?

All programs, and games work. Age Of Conan, BC2, Eve - all work. But these 2 games don't?

Big performance is the difference. Not sure what the problem is? Maybe I need to reinstall windows.

The 197.13 drivers gave me a noticeable performance decrease and i've read of other GTX series card users having issues on the EVGA forum. I don't know what card you have but if its somewhat newer try using the 196.21 drivers.

Just to add. I now have default drivers, and I have restarted windows a few times.

Just Cause 2 works on default drivers.

Fallout 3 don't work now. It worked after 1 restart after, removing Nvidia drivers 179,13 - but now I gives same error.
