    Online Gaming

I'm a HUGE fan of RPG based games. I still play Baldur's Gate (yes, even on Windows 7).

    So my question is....

What is the best FREE MMORPG?
It has to be in depth, i can't handle things that don't have depth, and a decent plotline....

    Thanx

What would you classify as free? I mean it sounds obvious, but is something you buy once, but no monthly free included in what you're looking for? How about games where you can pay for in-game perks? etc.

I would suggest runescape except it sucks for storyline and everything else, But WoW has a decent storyline if you pay enough attention to it... Its free if you play on a private server, there are some good privates out there.

    Thanks Compaker.

@Fizban, I would like to be able to sign up (for free) to an online game and just get lost in it. I've searched some but I can't get a decent reaction as to what is best.

The end all is I don't want to pay (at least not while i'm out of work anyway )

I use to play a game called Flyff about a year ago. It was really good but I left when it started to get cash shop oriented to further your gaming experience. Although it was playable without purchasing items from the cash shop it was a sh*t load easier if you did.

And there host in CA Galanet where under a huge assault by TD while I was playing unsure if they still are now.

I played Runescape for the longest time. I'm now a member. Play RS for a little while, and if you get into it, become a member (highly recommended).

P.S. The max level for all stats you can get to is 99. There is a player named Zezima who has level 99 in everything. Now you won't be a total noob :)

    Planeshift is definitely free.

    PlaneShift - A 3D Fantasy MMORPG

There are several trailers on youtube. Just do a google search and you'll find them.

It's also listed on the mmorpg website that rates hundreds of RPG sites at:
