The flight simulator that I love and (IMO) is the best WW II combat flight sim ever made is IL2

It was made in 2001 and has since been heavily modified by its makers and more so by the gaming community. The game lets you fly hundreds of different aircraft for the Axis or Allies during the war years of 1935 -1946 (you need the IL2 1946 update for that). You can fight in the European theater or the Pacific and all kinds of other arenas made with excellent attention to detail by the fans.

Since nobody else chimed in () I'll give a few more flight sims that should have no problems running on mc995599 computer.

You can look up info on each one with Wiki and of course YouTube

BTW, each sim has it's own massive group of fans who create an endless amounts of free add ons

I prefer combat sims but my father was an S-3A/B pilot from 1975 till 1993 and it's a great thrill for me to download a free add on for the Microsoft Flight sim's and fly the Hoover around North Island just like dad used to.

I added a few pics of the S-3 Viking for fun. They called it the "Hoover" because it's engines made a sound vary similar to a vacuum cleaner.....btw, the A-10 Worthog uses the same engines

I'm gonna update this a bit. Somebody must be reading this thing.....anybody?........

I did a clean install of IL2 1946, including the client409m patch and the outstanding fan made UltraPack201_Client. I run it with the XP compatibility mode and it's clear skies all around and runs smooth.

I also installed MS CFS3 and it runs great. I added the fan made Korean War campaigns and they work like a charm. I also added the Just Flight "Battle of Britain" expansion and it has no problems.

Here's a few shots from CFS3 and the Korean add on.

Yikes!! What a nightmare that was. I'd forgotten about that damn Starforce protection the game installs........even tried a few work arounds but it really fouls up Windows, so I uninstalled the game and I'll have to look around for a way to play with out that stupid Starforce......blah!

you dont say what speed your processor is, i know darkfriday has already mentioned it but Microsoft Flight Simulator 9 (or 2000 depending on who you ask) runs flawlessly on my Machine, if your specs are better than mine (click the little system specs button under this post) then you should be able to run it no problem. (to be honest, you can probably run it with worse specs than mine, but I haven't tried)
