    Battlefield 2 Server Help?

Trying to set up a small deticated server for Battlefield 2 but im not entirely sure that its up?

If someone can search for "Pecks 24/7 Strike At Karkland" and confirm that its up and running it would be greatly appreciated..

(a screen shot would be great)

I don't think it's working. First of all, in your setup screen it gives an IP of 192.168.1.2. That's an internal ip address for your network. You need to set it up so that your server is broadcasting your real ip not a network IP.

Also, searched for it on GameTracker and it's not there.

Ok great thanks for the quick reply.

If I add my external ip the server wont even start and from the description in the picture below it says I need to use my interface ip?

Also ive done everything here the guide recommends except start a service cause I don't want to do that..

Server settings aren't my cup of tea but a Google of this "Battlefield 2 Server settings" brought me here - Server Settings - Planet Battlefield and this -

Hope it helps, or at least give you a clue.

    Good luck

I also found this which basically says im doing every right but in order for people to connect to my server they will need to manuelly type in my external ip...

Update, figured it out..... Battlefield 2 comes with the small deticated server app (the one I was using) for frieind use and manually connected ip gameplay.

To start a true deticated server you need the expansion software found here!

    [M:U:W] - Battlefield 2 Community - Downloads

    downloading now... : )

Thanks for all the help guys... google took me way to long to find that one out... : /

If you have a router, make sure you forward the required ports to the internal ip address of your server.
