    Can Someone help?

Hi to all, im a newbie here,

Before anything Else..here's the specs of my motherboard :
    Products

I currently have a problem...I think it's DirectX(sorry im no expert in computers)

    firstly...
when I first Installed windows seven, whenever I try playing any microsoft game(like solitaire) it will say "Failed To Create DirectX", after some days I downloaded a trial version of plants vs zombies, which can't run and will just show up "BASS_ChannelPlay function not found in bass.dll" after that I tried opening solitaire again...and it worked!

I also have some Aero problems....on my first days using windows seven...aero doesn't seem to work...whenever I troubleshoot it, it says that my video card doesn't support, then I tried running windows update, but aero still doesn't work, then I tried running the crappyplants vs. zombies game again, it still show it's error message, but to my suprise, aero worked! I was like a kid when it worked....

and whenevr I restart/shutdown my computer...aero turns off again, and games won't work again

my problem is...that Plants vs. zombies is just a trial, im worried that if that trial ends, Aero and some games won't work....

    can someone help me?

The first thing you should take a look at is updating your graphics card drivers to their latest stable version. You can get the ATI drivers from Advanced Micro Devices Inc., Intel Graphics Drivers from http://downloadcenter.intel.com, and nVidia drivers from Welcome to NVIDIA - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies.

Please post back and let us know if it does or does not help.

    Thanks!

I don't suppose that you know which graphic card you have .. I know your chip is Nvidia .. so if your card is onboard which mean it will be on the link for Nvidia as Jelyman advise http://www.nvidia.com/content/global/global.php .

I think I found the driver that suits my "graphic card"

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_wi...7.45_whql.html

but I want to approach things with caution...

can someone tell me if im downloading the right one?

I wouldn't be able to say yes or no as I dont know which card you got ..best way go nvidia site >download drivers > choose option 2 .. it will scan and identify your drivers and show you the right one to download.

I tried the second option and it said...

"We're sorry, the NVIDIA Smart Scan does not support your system at this time.

Supported operating systems: Microsoft Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, 2003, Media Center, and Windows Vista.

Supported browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox & Netscape."

    Im using Opera Browser

    EDIT:
I tried using Mozilla Firefox, But it has some crazy issues that's why i can't use it....btw I think I downloaded the right driver...Ill checkback here if my rpbolem still insists...thanks so much everyone

Just get the series 6 drivers for windows 7. Nvidia's scan is half stupid when it comes to integration. They also may say (Oh we do not support chipset drivers) or some bullshit, ATI said it too. The drivers for the series will work even so. I know my moms got a x1200 radeon in her laptop. ATI said their drivers wont cover it, but the 1xxx drivers still did it.

NVIDIA DRIVERS 197.45 WHQL << is correct. These drivers pretty much work on anything 6 - 9 series.
