    Splinter Cell: Conviction system requirements

    Howdy! I intend on buying Splinter Cell Conviction on PC. I read the system requirements for the game, however I'm not sure if my system can withhold it.

    My specs are:

    Inter Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66 GHz compared to the Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 1.8 GHz required by the game.

    NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS 256 MB compared to the NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS 512MB required by the game.

    4 GB of RAM compared to the 2 GB of RAM required by the game.

    Do you think I should buy it, or are the specs not sufficient enough? Thanks in advance.

    Processor: Less Than Recommend/Minumum=
    Ram: Over Recommended =
    Video Card: Minimum Requirement =

    In other words you're not going to have much fun playing this game. You barely, and I mean barely have close to the minimum requirements to play the game. Keep in mind that the minimum requirements are just to run the game, not even at a playable level. The recommended requirements are the ones that usually show whether or not your system can handle the game. Since you're not meeting the minimum requirements (1.8/1.5GB/256MB) nevermind the recommend requirements (1.8/2GB/512MB) I don't recommend buying the game.

    You might be thinking that you'll be fine because you're close on the processor and you have more than enough ram and you're also at the minimum requirement on the graphics card. This isn't going to work. The ram is important, but it's no where near the whole ballgame. Having a processor that can get through the information is very important and ever more important is having a graphics card that can display the game. With those specs I'd expect that the game would probably start, might even play a little but you'd probably be stuck w/ 4-8 FPS and choppy playback.

    Code:
        Recommended specs:

        * Supported OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7
        * Processor: 1.8 GHz Intel Core2 Duo or 2.4 GHz AMD Athlon X2 64
        * RAM: 1.5 GB Windows XP / 2 GB Windows Vista, Windows 7
        * Video Card: 256 MB DirectX 9.0c–compliant video card (512 MB recommended) (see supported list*)
        * Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c–compliant sound card
        * DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c
        * DVD-ROM: DVD-ROM drive
        * Hard Drive Space: 10 GB
        * Peripherals Supported: Mouse, keyboard, headset, 12-button gamepads with analog sticks
        * Internet Connection: Broadband Internet connection

        *Supported Video Cards at Time of Release:

        * NVIDIA GeForce 7800 / 7900 / 8 / 9 / GTX series
        * ATI RADEON X1800 / X1900 / HD 2000 / HD 3000 / HD 4000 / HD 5000 series
        * Laptop versions of these cards may work but are NOT supported. These chipsets are the only ones that will run this game.

        Note: A permanent high speed internet connection and creation of a Ubisoft account are required to play this video game at all times and to unlock exclusive content. Such content may only be unlocked one single time with a unique key. You must be at least 13 to create a Ubisoft account.

    Yeah, thought so. Such a pain Ubisoft have released the game only on Xbox 360 and PC. I'm a big Splinter Cell fan, but at this point there's not much to do but hope they release it for PS3 as well in the future like they did with Double Agent.

    Oh, and thanks for the response.
